There have been speculation and rumors galore while defining the Uma Thurman and Andre Balazs relationship. The now on now off bond between the Hollywood actress and her hotelier friend has finally been confirmed by The Pulp Fiction actress. This year the couple had officially split in March, but have been seen together many times in New York City. Thurman is based there with her two children. The couple, which was seen cozying up to each other at Manhattan’s Whitney Museum, has finally admitted to be in a relationship. Thurman said that she was there on the invitation of her boyfriend Balazs.

Tongues are wagging about Lindsay Lohan’s latest bid to reconcile with her ex-flame Jamie Burke. She is reported to have been sighted having a lunch date with Burke in a Los Angeles restaurant. Earlier in January too Lohan was spotted dating the singer a couple of times. This was just after his split with super model Kate Moss. According to a tabloid report, Lindsay Lohan had come with one of her girlfriends to The Ivy restaurant, but was soon joined by Jamie. There were a lot of smiles while they were around, and finally they both were seen leaving together in Lohan’s car heading towards her new Beverly hills apartment. Lindsay sure is desperate to find herself new love.

Though Sir Paul McCartney and wife, Heather Mills, have only separated and not petitioned for divorce, yet what alimony the former Beatles member may pay is a subject of speculation. Sir Paul has an estimated worth of £825m, and most experts feel that a huge percentage of this wealth may go to his estranged wife, in the event of divorce.

Most newspapers are of the view that Lady McCartney could receive up to £200m. According to the Sun, a family lawyer has put this figure to £400m, about half the total wealth. A quick divorce could cost Sir Paul around £50m according to the Daily Mirror.

The dividing of assets depends on the merits of each case. In long marriages the principle of equality holds, where the assets are divided 50-50. However, in this case the principle may not hold good, since the marriage is just four years old, and the assets in question are older than that.

Laying the blame on the MTV Newlyweds reality show, singer Nick Lachey said that it could possibly have led to the breakup of his marriage with Jessica Simpson. The show, Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica, which went on for three seasons, soon lost its novelty on the couple. They enjoyed doing the show together initially, though. However, the show started affecting their lives adversely, later.

In the Late Show with David Letterman, Lachey lamented’ “It was among the dumber ideas I think I’ve ever seen executed in history.” Both Lachey and Simpson enjoyed doing the show initially, but the show got too imposing and invasive for them to cope with.

When asked whether participating in the show had a bearing in the straining and eventual split in their relationship, Lachey said, “You know that’s one of those things where I think until you get enough hindsight and enough clarity and perspective, I don’t think you can really know what happened. But, I certainly think it was probably a factor.”

It is official. Uptown Girl Christie Brinkley has decided to divorce husband Peter Cook, after learning about his affair with an 18-year old employee. Cook had publicly appealed to Christie to consider reconciliation. The media coverage was very painful for the model, who could not take it any more. After about two months of the media reports about Cook cheating on the former model/actress, she has decided to seek divorce. Cook had even issued a public apology, but it did not have any effect on Christie.

Not all appears well with the Vince Vaughn-Jennifer Aniston love life. Vaughn has been reported to call off the relationship. A US Weekly magazine has reported that Vaughn snapped ties with Jen in an emotional phone call at the time of leaving for the shoot of his movie Joe Claus in London. He even cancelled Jen’s plan to visit him there. The reason attributed to the split is Jen’s neediness. Vince got scared after realizing how needy she was. Her living in a world of her own, surrounded by the media, was not what Vince was prepared for. The split between the two has also been confirmed by the actor’s close friends. Jennifer appears to have been hit the harder of the two.

Brad Pitt, Aniston’s ex-hubby understands what Vince is going through, having earlier experienced the same fate. Brad too felt that Jen was extremely needy and controlling, which he found to his dismay was choking him.

Pop star Eminem, undergoing the legalities of divorce from his estranged wife for a second time, Kimberley Mathers and both their lawyers met in a Judge’s chambers without any fruitful result. The meeting that lasted an hour failed to produce any agreement to the terms of the divorce. According to Antonio Viviano - County Circuit Judge, the matter was set for mediation.

Eminem is the winner of nine Grammy awards, which includes best rap album for The Slim Shady LP, The Marshall Mathers LP, and The Eminem Show” He has also won an Oscar for the song Lose Yourself.

This is the couple’s second divorce. Marshall Mathers III (Eminem’s real name) and Kimberley Mathers had a daughter in 1996, and married in 1999. The divorce came in 2001 and the remarriage on Jan 14 this year, only to separate quickly. Eminem filed for divorce on April 5, just 82 days of their second marriage.

 Eminem is legal guardian of his half brother, while Kimberley Mathers has another daughter. She is also looking after her sister’s daughter. On her way out of the court premises, Kimberley was seen refusing any comment to the scribes. Eminem could not be spotted leaving the courthouse. Both the lawyers, Harvey Hauer (Eminem’s) and Michael J Smith (Kimberley’s) did not talk about the hearing, but were hoping for a settlement soon.

After 14 years of marriage, Whitney Houston is seeking divorce from her husband Bobby Brown. The papers that Whitney filed in Orange County, California, have been served on Brown. Houston (43) and Brown (39) have a daughter Bobbi Kristina (13) from their marriage. The divorce proceedings, which will start soon, will see Houston represented by Stephen Kolodny - one of the top divorce lawyers in America. Kolodny, among others, has represented Kim Basinger, Sean Connery, and Barbara Streisand. The marriage that appeared stable was marred by domestic abuse that put Brown behind bars. Houston has a recent history of drug problems. And all this led to the speculation that divorce was imminent.

After divorce, couples usually go their own ways. But, is parting ways with Nick Lachey still bothering Jessica Simpson, who was recently chosen Hollywood’s Favorite Body? She just cannot reconcile to the fact that Nick can have a life of his own. What’s got Ms Hot Bod furious is Nick’s re-association with MTV presenter Vanessa Minnillo. Jessica and Vanessa were good friends. She would confide in Vanessa when her marriage was on the rocks and the divorce proceedings were on. To further rub salt in Jessica’s wounds, Nick has Vanessa Minnillo appearing in his recent music video What’s Left of Me. Now that can be kind of painful, even though it was Jessica who initiated the divorce. Jessica is still going around wearing her wedding ring around her neck. Wonder, why?
