McCartney Asks Mills to Keep Off Court
Former Beatles Sir Paul McCartney is known to have told estranged wife Heather Mills to keep away from the court. According to the pop star, Mills stands no chance of making anything from their pending divorce, as reportedly Sir Paul has not made any money during the time he was married to her. Sir Paul has conveyed the same to Mills’ lawyers stating that she will “end up with nothing”.
McCartney had made all his wealth, estimated to be around $585 million, before marrying Heather Mills four years ago in 2002. There have been reported losses to the tune of £2 million in the past four years during the several world tours that McCartney had undertaken. As told by solicitor Caitlin Jenkins to the Sunday Mirror, “It’s a good tactic for Sir Paul – but also quite a high-risk strategy. Only about 10 percent of contested divorce cases end up going down this route. Sir Paul is trying to persuade Heather’s team to advise her to come to an agreement - by suggesting she could end up with nothing if the divorce goes to court. In essence, Sir Paul is showing her how bad it could be for her.”
