Eminem’s Divorce Update
Pop star Eminem, undergoing the legalities of divorce from his estranged wife for a second time, Kimberley Mathers and both their lawyers met in a Judge’s chambers without any fruitful result. The meeting that lasted an hour failed to produce any agreement to the terms of the divorce. According to Antonio Viviano - County Circuit Judge, the matter was set for mediation.
Eminem is the winner of nine Grammy awards, which includes best rap album for The Slim Shady LP, The Marshall Mathers LP, and The Eminem Show” He has also won an Oscar for the song Lose Yourself.
This is the couple’s second divorce. Marshall Mathers III (Eminem’s real name) and Kimberley Mathers had a daughter in 1996, and married in 1999. The divorce came in 2001 and the remarriage on Jan 14 this year, only to separate quickly. Eminem filed for divorce on April 5, just 82 days of their second marriage.
Eminem is legal guardian of his half brother, while Kimberley Mathers has another daughter. She is also looking after her sister’s daughter. On her way out of the court premises, Kimberley was seen refusing any comment to the scribes. Eminem could not be spotted leaving the courthouse. Both the lawyers, Harvey Hauer (Eminem’s) and Michael J Smith (Kimberley’s) did not talk about the hearing, but were hoping for a settlement soon.
