The singer and actress estranged couple made a joint statement to the effect that they did not prefer commenting on the status of their relationship. But in the spate of recent media speculation over their relationship, they had no choice but to come out in the clear.

The couple, who has been dating and romancing since 2003, is stated to have said that their disclosure on ending their romantic relationship is in respect to the great time they spent together. The decision was mutual and they have separated as friends, continuing to love and respect each other.
